Unfortunately it was all for naught. You see , that fellow she tried to pay off is not a mechanic or even really in a position to make decisions at the shop. His name is Geoffrey and he lives at the halfway house across the street. The real owner ( who was at lunch just then) pays our slow friend Geoffrey a few bucks to a week to clean the toilets and polish bed rails on pick up trucks. Luckily, insurance picked up all of the cost anyway. There was a small matter of her deductible. The real owner felt bad that she was tricked into having sex with his dim witted part time janitor and offered to cover the $100 himself.
